Mercedes-Benz CLK 240 CLK230 compressor elega 1997



This car is a Clk230 for some reason not available in Auto Insiders drop down menu
Ok we brought this car for our daughters to drive for its safety rating one daughter is going on her OE the other is in Wellington.We we?re going to give her this car but not really ideal for what she needs in the city so we got a small run around so the wife has said too many cars get rid of the merc
Previous owners said they had serviced regular but not too much paperwork to go with it We?ve owned it for 2 years now and haven?t done too many kms in it so will be due a service pretty soon
In the 2 years we?ve had it mechanically it has not let us down although the door handle broke quite expensive to fix and a baffle went in the exhaust which we solved by cutting it out so now it sounds I little like a race car if you accelerate too enthusiastically and just recently the central locking motor in the boot makes a whistling sound when the car is unlocked and goes away as soon as the engine starts which does not seem to affect the operation of the key but will not be fixed and car come As is where is
The pictures make the car look pretty good but the blue paint is faded which makes it look a bit lilac and there is a small bit of clearcote coming off and there are the usual stone chips and supermarket bumps
A rather annoying thing my eldest did within the first month of our ownership was to blow the speakers on the stereo so if you like good quality sound they?ll need replacing interior is reasonably tidy although the sun has cracked the dash slightly
The $1500 start price is the lowest price we?ll part with the car for and I secretly hope we don?t sell it as it looks pretty good from a distance and serves as good back up
