Ford Cortina Mark V 1982



Mk5 Ford Cortina 1982 in great condition
205 Pinto motor, 5 speed manual box from a Sierra (Started life as a 1.8L 4speed) so no clue about kms

? Fitted with twin 45 Dellorto carbs, fully tuned

? Extractors

? Mild lump in cam

? Hard shocks and lowered cobra springs

? Exhaust from Magoo

? Custom made fibreglass flares (underneath wheel arch has been cut)

? All electronics work, e.g heater, wipers, window demister, internal light etc

? Not sure what brand wheels are(one is missing a center cap)

? Professional, darkest legal tints

? Custom paint - have touch up bottle as well

? 2x 6x9 speakers drilled into rare parcel tray, can be unscrewed from in the boot no problem. Head unit with aux input in the front, amp and 2x12inch subs in sub box.

?Interior is in great condition for its age.

?After market fan on radiator (old cars don?t like idling in traffic for long periods of time, the radiator is mint), switch on dash for this

Negative stuff:

? Recently spent over a grand on the breaks, new master cylinder and new break lines but the breaks still suck, not sure why this is, ?safe are breaks? were too shit to fix this properly

Rust Area 1: This is the worst patch on the car, luckily this is on a removable panel which can be swapped out, been thinking about doing this prior to selling but won?t if I don?t have to

Rust Area 2: This is in front passenger seat door well, only superficial, given it a good scrape and poke and the steel is still good, needs to be tidied up sooner rather than later though

? Battery ideally should be moved to boot, its sitting a bit close to carbs probable restricting airflow and makes the filter socks for the carbs strangle them hence why they are currently off

? Car is on the cusp of being "too low". Only 50% of garages will pick up on this.


This car is fast becoming a classic. I've owned it for 10 years and am only selling as I don?t have the time or money to keep it in shape. Not looking for swaps. Open to offers
