DESCRIPTION
Chevrolet Corvette C3 1979
Imported from USA 2010. I?ve had 40,000 miles of absolute pleasure but need to move on due to personal circumstances. A real head turner, looks, colour and sound.
This car is worth every bit of $30,000, but I?m realistic and I believe $25k is great value.
LT1 engine (circa 1970) has done 70,000 miles and is very strong, great acceleration. Valves guides have been resleeved. Car repainted Victory Red 2011. Car has clocked 120,000 miles.
Solarcool mirror glass T Tops in ex order. Vinyl bags and securing straps for TTop storage behind seats. You can store a large suitcase or several small ones in the back of this model and still have the roof off (and stored in the back) which you can?t do with many other models.
3 speed auto, Edelbrock performer thunder series intake and carburettor, Headman headers, high flow cat to mufflers, Malory HyFire electronic ignition control, Malory Promaster ignition coil, pioneer head unit and speakers (has USB input).
Power steering unit recently overhauled, new tyres front, near new on rear. Front and rear wheel bearings done
Interior was renewed by previous owner in USA. Regularly maintained by Victory Automotive, now Cartel Works at World of Wearable Arts and Classic Cars in Nelson.
Includes assembly manual and 2 Haynes repair manuals, receipts from USA and NZ., wiring diagrams etc.
AC unit removed. That and some other parts go with the car. Central locking disconnected due to a fault which I?ve never bothered to trace. Cruise control also disconnected but the car doesn?t need it. Clock doesn?t work, speedo not always accurate but you drive on the rev counter.
This is a classic car. It?s beautiful and brings a lot of joy. However, unless you can maintain it yourself, expect to spend $1,000 or so each year to keep it on the road.
