Land Rover Rover 1963 Photo 1 of 6 Published on: Tuesday, 26th May 2020, 2:26 pm DESCRIPTION Land Rover Other 1963 Please do not post questions. Housed a couple of hours North of Auckland. Due, as they say, to circumstances, I'm abandoning plans for a small museum that was to exhibit SWB 4-cyl petrol Land Rovers from 1954 onwards. Except for the SIII, these are all of Australian origin and have never been registered in NZ. 1954 SI 86" Restored. Original 1997c side-valve motor removed for rebuild. Re-manufactured for the Snowy Mountain Scheme. Chassis 47660601. 1962 SIIA 2286cc Excellent body and mechanics. PTO. Rock-damaged centre cross-member. The one on the truck. This is a military 'mock-up'. (The tub suggests an ex-government 'survey' vehicle.) Chassis: 24301594A Fitted with authentic pintle hook for towing of RAEME trailer (included). The restored trailer is complete with new canvas and tent poles. 1963 SIIA Gunbuggy ARN 112-725 (Refer REMLR website.) Restored but with undisturbed original external paint including nickname 'Assassin' on front quarter panels. Bamford pto winch mounted for ballast and without modification to vehicle. Currently fitted with a diesel but a near-mint 2286cc (engine# 25149587C) obtained from a 1964 REMLR-registered 'sister' vehicle (ARN 112-823) awaits refitting. Possibly ex-Vietnam. Historically significant - the only example ever to have been fitted with the Milan ATGM launcher. ATGM not supplied. 1974 SIII 2286cc Has undiagnosed fault with clutch/gearbox discovered immediately after rebuild/refit. Otherwise, the photo pretty much says it all. Capstan winch. NZ rego on hold. Chassis: 90304505A With documentation for all vehicles, an extensive library and lots of parts. The pick-up logistics are major and will require extensive personal supervision on part of the buyer. At this juncture no part of the collection is individually for sale. Because I am also severely constrained, inspection will be by individual appointment and only once I'm satisfied that applicant has realistic plans. My priority is actually to vacate and sell the premises. VEHICLE CONDITION
